Great Places in Kansas
Planning is behind the places communities value most. The Kansas Chapter recognizes the neighborhoods, streets, and public spaces that make communities stronger and bring people together through good planning.
The following places have been awarded the gold standard in neighborhoods, streets, and public spaces:
- 2022 Great Places in Kansas - Overland Park
- 2024 Great Places in Kansas - Downtown Manhattan
While no longer an active program, two Kansas communities also received APA National recognition:
- APA National Great Places - Lawrence, KS - Massachusetts Street
- APA National Great Places - Wichita, KS - Old Town
